These beautifully executed and brightly colored prints of wild flowers are reproduced from the original watercolor paintings by Mary Vaux Walcott now in the collection of the National Museum of Art. These lovely book prints, first published by the Smithsonian Institute in 1925, were reproduced in 1953 on good-quality, buff-colored stock. Each print has the plate number, the common name, the botanical name and the painter's initials on the bottom portion of the page. All prints are centered, ready to be trimmed, matted and framed. Each measures approximately 8" x 11-1/2".
